Norwich Escalation Avoidance Team (NEAT)

At our NHS 111 contact centre in Norwich, we host the Norwich Escalation Avoidance Team (NEAT).

NEAT is a group of NHS and social care professionals drawn from a range of different disciplines. The team acts as a single point of contact for health and care professionals such as GPs, community nurses, mental health workers, paramedics from the ambulance service, social workers and therapists.

Our aim is to make sure the patient gets the help and support they need, with the purpose of keeping them out of hospital. However, if they do need to go to hospital, we make sure they do.
