How IC24 are Celebrating Pride 2022
We’ve planned a series of events throughout the summer to celebrate Pride
by IC24
June is Pride Month, a month dedicated to celebrating LGBTQ+ communities globally. We’ll be joining the celebrations with a series of events arranged by our LGBTQ+Friends Colleague Resource Group. We’re encouraging all of our colleagues to get involved.
We started the month by decorating our contact centres, bringing pride to life with the colours of the rainbow for all to see, and changing our logo on our social media pages.
On 10th June, we held a learning event for our colleagues presented by a special guest titled This is Me! A Transgender and Non-Binary 101. Our LGBTQ+ CRG chose to focus on the trans community as they recognise the specific challenges they face. Throughout the session learned how to best support colleagues, patients, and those around us, exploring subjects including terminology, personal pronouns and how to be an ally, with an open Q&A following the presentation.
Learning is an important part of the month, and our CRG members have been sharing inspirational messages, stories and history for our teams to read each week.
Within our contact centres, we will be holding pride parties for our colleagues, aligned with the dates of local pride festivals for Ipswich, Ashford and Norwich. The first will take place on 18th June in Ipswich.
If you’re not already, you can follow us on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram, where we’ll be sharing more from our Pride celebrations.
