South East Coast Ambulance Service alongside IC24 host inaugural Compliments Awards
by IC24
South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) alongside IC24 recently hosted their inaugural Compliments Awards to recognise various levels of personal compliments received from service users.
The award winners are the backbone of the healthcare system and often act as the first point of contact for individuals seeking medical advice, reassurance, or urgent care. They play a pivotal role here at IC24, and it was important to recognise the impact our people make towards the level of care our patients and service users receive by awarding a certificate and pin that represents the number of compliments that individual received.
5 compliments = Bronze Pin
10 = Silver Pin
15 = Gold Pin
20+ = Red Pin
Thirty-three of our Health Advisors were awarded a pin over two different award days. Approximately 2000 compliments have been received over a two-year period, 500 of these for IC24 people! IC24 colleagues received awards at every level, including the coveted 20+ Red Award.
The IC24 mission is to ‘be curious, passionate, and expert in everything we do’ in support of our patients.
Dr Andrew Catto, our Chief Executive Officer, was delighted to attend and described the event as ‘humbling to know that this recognition has been freely given by patients and recognises the quality of the care given by our 111 colleagues and doctors supporting the Clinical Advice Service’.
Jane Kendal our Regional Operations Director for Kent and Sussex, was particularly pleased that both SECamb and IC24 were able to hold these recognition events in the week before Christmas, the busiest time of year for 111 services. ‘This initiative and acknowledgement organised by SECAmb has been so warmly received by our people and comes just ahead of our busiest period. It will lift everyone’s spirits to know that the commitment and quality of care provided by the IC24 111 team is truly appreciated by our patients.’
