Rosie Duffield Visits IC24 to See Patient Care in Action
Canterbury MP explores frontline NHS 111 services and shares her passion for improving healthcare across emergency and community services
IC24 recently had the pleasure of welcoming Rosie Duffield, MP for Canterbury, to our Ashford office for an engaging and insightful visit.
Rosie has long demonstrated a strong commitment to healthcare, reflected in her active involvement in several All Party Parliamentary Groups, including Emergency Care, Birth Trauma, Women’s Health, and Respiratory Health. Her interest in improving patient outcomes and supporting frontline services was clear throughout the day.
During her visit, Rosie met with our Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Catto, alongside Deputy CEO Katherine Pitts and Jane Kendal, Director of Primary and Community Care. Together, they explored the evolving challenges and opportunities within integrated urgent and community healthcare, as well as the vital role organisations like IC24 play in supporting the wider NHS.
A highlight of the visit saw Rosie spending time in our contact centre, where she listened in on NHS 111 calls with one of our health advisors. This offered a real time glimpse into the compassionate and complex work our teams deliver every day to support patients. She also had the chance to speak with Team Manager Zoe Skinner, gaining further insight into how our services operate behind the scenes.
Rosie’s enthusiasm and genuine curiosity made the visit both productive and enjoyable. We look forward to continuing the conversation and strengthening connections with representatives who share our passion for delivering high quality care to local communities.
