IC24 selected as a Regional PCAS Vanguard Site
We’re proud to announce that IC24 has been selected by NHS England to lead the Regional Paediatric Clinical Assessment Service (PCAS) Vanguard for the East of England.
This successful expression of interest covers the Norfolk & Waveney, Suffolk, and Mid & South Essex ICB areas, and marks a major milestone in our commitment to improving urgent care pathways for children and young people.
As the current provider of the national PCAS service, IC24 is uniquely positioned to deliver a regionally tailored model that builds on our proven infrastructure, clinical expertise, and strong partnerships. The pilot will enable us to test innovative approaches to paediatric triage, safeguarding, and workforce development while contributing to national learning and evaluation.
Katherine Pitts, Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer, said:
“This is a proud moment for IC24 and the East of England. Being selected to lead the regional PCAS pilot reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality, integrated care for children and young people. We’re excited to co-design a model that improves access, supports clinicians, and strengthens collaboration across the system.”
We look forward to working with NHS England and our regional partners to make this pilot a success.
