IC24 and Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust Deliver Urgent Care Services In Gloucestershire

A new partnership focused on collaboration and patient-first healthcare goes live today
19/11/2024

IC24 is delighted to be working alongside Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust (GHC) to deliver an Integrated Urgent Care Service (IUCS) for the people of Gloucestershire. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to providing high-quality, patient-focused care and builds on both organisations’ strengths in delivering urgent healthcare services.

The IUCS combines NHS 111 (telephone and online), a local Clinical Assessment Service offering general and specialist clinical advice, and the Primary Care Out of Hours service. By integrating these elements, we aim to make accessing urgent care simpler and more effective for the community.

GHC brings extensive experience in managing minor injury and illness units across community hospitals in Gloucestershire, and we’re thrilled to collaborate with them to enhance these vital services. Together, we’re creating a seamless system that ensures patients receive the right care when they need it most.

With our teams working closely across the region, this partnership is a testament to our continued growth. It’s an exciting time for IC24 as we expand our reach and further enhance the services we provide to patients.

Our Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, Katherine Pitts, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be working with Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. This partnership is an opportunity to develop services that meet the needs of the population of Gloucestershire, and we look forward to working closely together to make a real difference in the community.”

This is a fantastic new chapter for IC24, and we look forward to the opportunities it brings as we work together to shape the future of urgent care in Gloucestershire.
