Trudi Jackson's 25 years at IC24

Celebrating 25 Years of Dedication: Trudi Jackson’s Journey with IC24
10/02/2025

We are delighted to celebrate a remarkable milestone—Trudi Jackson, our Senior Trainer and Training Manager, is marking 25 years with IC24!

Trudi began her journey with us as a call handler, witnessing the transformation of our organisation over the years. Reflecting on what has kept her motivated at IC24 for 25 years, Trudi highlights two key reasons: "The people and our patients. I have had the privilege of working with incredible colleagues, both past and present, who bring this organization to life."

Trudi’s passion for helping people has been the driving force behind her career. While she no longer takes calls directly, her work as a trainer continues to make a lasting impact. "By teaching others, I feel I’m still playing my part in providing excellent patient care. We’re all small cogs working together to make a difference."

Vanessa Coelho, our Director of Education, shared her appreciation:

"A huge congratulations to Trudi on this incredible milestone! Her dedication, hard work, and commitment to making a difference are truly inspiring. It is a pleasure to work with her, and we are all so proud of her achievements."

Of course, 25 years at IC24 comes with plenty of memorable moments. Trudi fondly recalls a particularly humorous incident when IC24 first moved to Kingston House:

"A call handler I worked with had a phobia of snakes. One day, while she was speaking to a patient, she suddenly spotted a large grass snake—or possibly an adder—slithering past the window. She was so startled that I had to take over the call! Fortunately, the patient was very understanding!"

Outside of work, Trudi enjoys cycling and has even completed a 26-mile round trip to work on her bike. During the pandemic, she also discovered a new passion for jigsaw puzzles:

"I found them incredibly relaxing, and there was a local newsagent that allowed people to swap puzzles, which I loved. Unfortunately, they stopped doing it, which was a shame."

Trudi, we are truly grateful for your dedication and contribution over the past 25 years. We look forward to celebrating many more milestones with you!
