We're getting to know some of the amazing people who work here at IC24. Today, we spoke with Angela Warner who is our Executive Office Manager.

 

"Prior to joining IC24, I worked as a Personal Assistant at a private accountancy firm; however, I wanted a rewarding position where I felt like I was making a difference. My career has progressed significantly since I joined IC24 in August 2018. I initially joined the Quality, Safety and Governance department where I dealt with Patient Engagement Questionnaires. After a short time, following a department restructure, I became the Serious Incident Coordinator. The department underwent a further restructure in late 2020 and I moved into the Exec Support Team as an Executive Assistant, and in 2023 I became the Executive Office Manager. My current role is demanding, and no two days are the same, but I absolutely love it and I thrive on the challenges that arise. My proudest moment to date was receiving a nomination and runner-up award for the Values in Practice in 2019 for streamlining the ‘Coordination of Serious Incidents and Performance Advisory Group’. I was extremely appreciative that my hard work had been recognised. My most challenging project has to be altering the large staff room that was in Suite C at Kingston House with the small meeting room in Suite B. Fortunately, with support from colleagues in multiple departments, it was a success, and we can now hold our Board and Committee meetings on-site to save on meeting room hire costs. IC24 certainly has a family feel, I am lucky to work with a group of amazing people who really want to make a difference and improve the quality for our patients."
