Urgent Care Practitioner                                          Quote Reference: GYW015

 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team already at the forefront of modern developments within integrated urgent care, closely aligned with NHS England’s Five Year Forward View, whilst maintaining a strong commitment to patient centred care.

 

The post holder will be responsible for providing telephone advice and face to face consultations for patients presenting with unscheduled Primary care conditions, minor illness and minor injury needs.

They will act as an autonomous clinician and take responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge or referral of patients without the need of direct support or supervision from another clinician.

Applicants must be a First level Registered Nurse or Paramedic, with current NMC or HCPC registration.

You must have extended skills with some experience in the diagnosis, treatment and discharge of patients with primary care presentations desirable, and have experience of working under Patient Group Directives.

 

Shifts will be worked primarily during the out of hours period including weekends and bank holidays, and evidence of advanced assessment & minor illness management educational courses is required.

Location                               Norfolk, Wisbech and Waveney

 

Hours Available               Mostly evenings, overnight and weekends.
