Job role

IC24 have an exciting opportunity for a Community Paramedic / Nurse Practitioner to support our organisation in delivering out of hours (OOH) services across Kent and we would love to hear from candidates who would be interested in this varied and rewarding role.

Due to a service reconfiguration, we would welcome candidates who want to join our professional team as a Community Paramedic / Nurse Practitioner’s job in an OOH role.  We are looking for candidate flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

You will be ultimately responsible for assessing, diagnosing and treating patients with minor illness either face-to-face or telephone basis. You do not need to be a prescriber as you will be able to work from our PGDs.  You will usually be based at one of our bases in Kent, however if it’s necessary you may need to conduct patient visits too.

This role is particularly suited to anyone that has undertaken community paramedic training or is an experienced nurse who has had additional training in assessing minor illness.  This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference to patients that develop an urgent care need or deteriorate during the OOH period and are therefore unable to access their own GP Surgery.

If you are looking to add extra skills to your current portfolio or if you are just seeking additional hours this could be the job for you!  You will receive a full induction and be supported by a Clinical Lead.

Location : Kent based (Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Gravesend and Dartford)

Hours of work available: Evenings, overnight and weekends covering a 24/7 operation (we may be able to offer hours that could suit your requirements subject to availability).
