Overnight Community Nursing Team Health Care Assistant (HCA)                                 Reference: ES100

If that sounds like you, then we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Overnight Community Nursing Team.

Our Overnight Community Nursing Team meets the nursing and one-to-one healthcare support needs for patients within the Brighton and Hove CCG between the hours of 8pm and 8am. You will work as part of a team consisting of Community Nurses and Health Care Assistants (HCA).

We attend planned and unplanned visits during the night and oversee a small caseload of ongoing needs to complement the day services. The main aims of the service include preventing unnecessary hospital admissions, facilitating more expedient discharges from hospital or community beds, supporting day time services to meet needs and facilitating end of life care in the patient’s home. You will work within the mobile nursing team and also as a night support assistant.

Training relevant to this post will be provided and all training time is paid. The Overnight Community Nursing Service is currently offering HCAs the opportunity to complete the Care Certificate if this hasn’t already been obtained.

We are a friendly and passionate team, delivering high quality care and an invaluable service. There is a four week rolling rota in place with shifts agreed at a local level.

Hours Available                   Full time, 2 x Part time (24 hours per week), bank hours also available
